Meet Dr. James P. Economos
Since 1980, practice founder Dr. James Economos has been helping patients create artistic, beautiful, and aesthetic smiles. He looks forward to the everyday challenges and rewards that come with being a dentist, and enjoys helping his patients receive the most benefit from their dental care.
Education
Dr. Economos was born and raised in Illinois. He received all of his post-secondary and professional education in the state of Illinois. He graduated from University of Illinois in 1979, and started practicing dentistry in Bartlett, in 1980.
Dr. Economos understands what is important to his patients; and having grown up in Illinois, he can relate personally to the needs of the communities he serves. Dr. Economos is a certified Invisalign provider, and has been recognized as one of the top 100 Invisalign providers in the country.
Continuing education is an important part of Dr. Economos’ job as a dentist, and he has taken several courses in cosmetic dentistry, surgical extractions, and a variety of general dentistry procedures. Dr. Economos is a member of several dental organizations such us the: American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, Hispanic American Dental Society, and the Hellenic American Dental Society.
Getting to know Dr. Economos
Even before becoming a dentist, Dr. Economos loved combining science and art to create beautiful designs. In high school, he worked with several Chicago area businesses, creating one-of-a-kind stained glass windows. Today, Dr. Economos maintains his relationship with Morton’s Steakhouse restaurants, and continues to make beautiful stained glass for each of their locations throughout the world.
Outside of the practice, Dr. Economos enjoys spending time with his family. He has six children. He speaks fluent Spanish, and has recently taken a keen interest in local politics. Dr. Economos also has his private pilot’s license and flies regularly.
Meet Dr. Milton Geivelis
Dr. Milton Geivelis is a Board Certified Specialist, whose practice is limited to Periodontics and dental Implants. Dr. Geivelis believes that the most important people in our practice are our patients. He strives to deliver the highest quality care, utilizing the most up-to-date techniques and equipment, in the most comfortable and gentle manner possible.
Education
Born in Athens, Greece, Dr. Geivelis received all of his education and graduate training from Northwestern University. He holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree, a Master’s of Science Degree, and a Specialty Degree in Periodontics.
Dr. Geivelis regularly participates in continuing education, and is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. From 1993 to 2001, Dr. Geivelis was a professor and director of Graduate Periodontics at Northwestern University Dental School, training the dental residents in Periodontics. He has been involved in academic research, and has authored and co-authored several professional articles. Dr. Geivelis lectures about Periodontics and Implants nationally and internationally; and he has received several academic and clinical awards for his work as a Periodontist.

Outside of the practice, Dr. Geivelis loves spending time with his family! He and his wife, Paula, have two children, a daughter, Arianna, and a son, Alex. He also enjoys playing tennis and soccer. Dr. Geivelis looks forward to working with you, and helping you enjoy all of the benefits of a healthy, bright, beautiful smile.
Meet Dr. Rosario Salerno-Caceres
Dr. Rosario Salerno-Caceres is dedicated to helping improve the dental health in our community, and to putting a happy smile on the faces of all the patients she treats. Dr. Salerno is a general dentist, focusing on providing comfortable dental care with passion, gentleness, and love for her job and her patients.
Education
Originally from Lima, Peru, Dr. Salerno received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1994 and obtained her American Dental License from the College of Dentistry at the University of Illinois at Chicago, in 1999.
Dr. Salerno focuses on delivering the most gentle care to patients of all ages. She is committed to participating in regular continuing education to learn about the latest technology and treatments in dentistry.

Meet Dr. Swee C. Tan
Dr. Tan is passionate about his work and is dedicated to providing compassionate and personalized care to his patients. He is committed to helping patients make the best decisions regarding treatment options and maintaining the highest level of oral health possible.
Education
Dr. Tan is a specialist in Prosthodontics (a dentist with advanced training in dental restoration and tooth replacement). He has a special interest in dental aesthetics, and greatly enjoys helping his patients improve their smiles and their self-confidence. Dr. Tan began practicing dentistry over 14 years ago, after completing his dental education. He received his General Dentistry Degree from the National University of Singapore, his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry, and his Master of Science and Prosthodontics degrees from Northwestern University.
Dr. Tan focuses on reconstructive, cosmetic, and implant dentistry through the use of crowns, bridges, dentures, partial dentures, veneers, tooth whitening, bonding, and tooth-colored restorations.
Continuing education allows Dr. Tan to stay current with the latest treatments and treatment techniques in dentistry and Prosthodontics. His involvement in a variety of professional associations provides many opportunities for continuing education.
Dr. Tan has received several awards including the prestigious “Excellence in Teaching Award” from the American Dental Education Association. He is a former Professor of Dentistry at Northwestern University and the University of Iowa. He currently teaches at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry.

Dr. Tan speaks fluent Mandarin and English. In his spare time, Dr. Tan enjoys spending time with his family and being a part of this wonderful community. His practice is always welcoming new patients, and he looks forward to working with you and your family.
Meet Dr. Meenakshi Balakrishnan
Dr. Meenakshi Balakrishnan believes that her individually tailored approach to each patient provides a lifelong gift of a healthy and beautiful smile. She enjoys building relationships with patients and their families, since this collaborative approach ensures the highest standard of care.
Education
Dr. Meenakshi Balakrishnan is a Board Certified Orthodontist. After graduating as Valedictorian from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dentistry with her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, she completed her residency in Orthodontics and received a Specialty degree and a Master of Science degree at the University of Illinois. She was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a national dental honor society, upon completion of her dental training. She is also an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the Midwest Society of Orthodontists.
Continuing education is on top of Dr. Balakrishnan’s list to keep up with all new developments in Orthodontics so she can better treat her patients.

Dr. Balakrishnan enjoys reading, running, cooking and spending time with her family. She especially loves baking and decorating cakes when she has some free time.
